Privacy policy

This explains what Farm40 collects, why, and what you can do about it.

Effective July 8, 2026

In plain english

This summary is for orientation only — the full terms below are what govern.

01Who we are

Farm40 is operated by Sourdough AI LLC (“we,” “us”). Questions about this policy or your data? Email support@farm40.com.

02What we collect

Account details — your name, email address, and the password hash we use to sign you in. If you subscribe to Pro, our payment processor handles your card; we never see or store the full number.

Farm records — everything you enter into the product: farms, fields, crops, plantings, input applications, livestock, animal events, employees, labor logs, inventory, documents you record, calendar events, financial transactions, and sales. This data is yours; we hold it to provide the service to you.

Basic technical data — the usual server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) needed to keep the service secure and running.

03Cookies and analytics

We use a single first-party cookie to keep you signed in. For usage analytics we rely on cookieless, privacy-preserving measurement that does not track you across other sites and does not build an advertising profile. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.

04Third parties we rely on

We use a small set of vendors to run Farm40: a cloud host for the application and database, an email provider for account and product messages, and a payment processor for Pro subscriptions. Each processes data only to provide its service to us, under its own security commitments. We do not sell your data to anyone.

05How long we keep it

We keep your farm records for as long as your account is active so the history stays intact — which matters for traceability and audits. If you delete your account, we remove your records from active systems promptly and purge routine backups on their normal rotation.

06Your rights

You can access and correct your data directly in the product at any time, export any record as a CSV file, and ask us to delete your account and its data by emailing support@farm40.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; we honor those requests.

07Changes

If we make a material change to this policy, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email. Continuing to use Farm40 after a change means you accept the updated policy.
