Who writes these guides
Jamison Cote founded and builds Farm40, a product of Sourdough AI LLC. He is a software builder working on farm recordkeeping, not an agronomist, veterinarian, or certification inspector. Each guide uses his full name because readers should be able to identify the person responsible for it.
What we check before publishing
Every statement about what Farm40 does is checked against the code that does it. If a guide says the software blocks something, refuses something, or exports something, a developer has confirmed the behaviour in the application before the page ships. When a capability has a limit, we write the limit into the same sentence as the capability.
We do not describe features that are planned, in progress, or on a roadmap as though they exist today.
The two things we will not do
We will not tell you a specific interval for a specific product. Re-entry intervals, pre-harvest intervals, and withdrawal periods are set by the product label and enforced by your regulator, your certifier, and your veterinarian. They vary by jurisdiction, by commodity, by formulation, and they change. We write about the process of capturing and honouring those intervals. For the number itself, read the label and ask the person whose job it is to know.
We will not invent social proof. Farm40 is a young product. You will not find invented customer counts, testimonials, or logos on this site, because we would have had to make them up. When we have something real to show you, we will show you that instead.
